    H22A Manual Tensioner

    Hey guys,

My belts are starting to show some wear due for replacing soon.
I've found a kit that will get rid of the auto tensioner on H22's and replace it with the manual system on H23's.

Would anyone recommend doing this? I have had the auto one go out on me on my old prelude but my belts didn't slip or anything.

Also has anyone else done it? Do you have to mod anything or do all the parts bolt in?

    This is the kit

i would say do it, i had it before on my H22, using the H23's manual tensioner best to use OEM.

Was it easy to install? Don't have to cut/drill or anything like that?

But you can run no balancer belt,
You will get a Lil more vibration but a Lil more power.

Yeah just read into it, is it really noticable? I mean I can remove the belt easy enough but is it worth it to actually remove them altogether?

    Why ignore it for?

    What's the problem with it?

I added that as a suggestion.

It's been done by many built h22a where shafts are completly removed and dowels are used, and on more standard sort of motors the belt have been removed with proven results even on a stock motor.

Look removing the belt is easy.
Like turning something that like a power steering pump.

If you want to go the whole way well it's time for dowels, block off plates etc etc,
Bismoto sell a real good kit.
Used it on my engine with great results.
But I have noticed a bit more vibration at high rmp.
But I guess if u want power well it's a sacrifice u Goto take.

Yeah I don't care for comfort or ride quality or any gay shit like that, I already took out the air con, and power steering.

Sometime next year I'll be building my engine, I'll look into completely removing the shafts when that gets done, don't want to tinker too much on the engine right now, I want to get most of 'proper' engine work i.e other then bolt on mods/removing simple shit etc all in one hit.

I'll definitely get the manual tensioner kit right now however.
