    EK4 Caliper Question

Hi guys, I got a 98 year EK4 and wanna replace my front brake pad.
I checked on internet there are 2 types of caliper for VTI-R civic.
    They are SUMITOMO and AKEBONO.
Any body knw how can I check the type of my car?
    Thank you very much!

There should be a brand stamped into the back of the caliper body, if you take the wheel off, you will find out. For example, my 94 EK calipers say "NISIN" on the back. I would guess though that the pad would probably be the same dimensions.

easiest way to confirm what brake pad you have is to take out a pad, stencil it onto a piece of paper, then go down to your brake supplier and go i want this. your brake supplier will be able to confirm what part number it is by looking thru their bendix catalogue and matching the stencil you have to the pictures in their catalogue. otherwise if your in melbourne, pm me and i can work out what part number it is for you =]

bro ek4 has same brake set up as ek1 sedans 262mm, so its the same pad as eg6,eg9, ek1 and ek 4. I know this due to fitting ek1 sedan fronts to my eg sedan, to confirm:
