    plate type lsd V's torsen

So took the engine and box out of he car(charade with honda power) and stripped the gearbox over the last few days.
Found that the two side gears in the diff(plate type lsd) have stripped and it was not the final drive that was the problem like i expected.
The diff that was in it was a brand new one that really only did the dyno tune and 25 laps at wakefield.

    1. are torsens any good and do they actually work on a race track?
    2. are plate types all that ****ing weak?
    3. what should i get, another plate type or a torsen?

I am affraid of the plate type now. Epic job to get the box out of car, turbo exhaust manifold, intake manifold intercooler all off and the lift the engine and box ou together etc.

Cost really does not phase me, I just want the best gear. What should i do?
If you build it, he will come.

Don't want to name brands. I am not here to slag etc.
I just want the best most reliable gear and for people that have real, REAL experience to chime in.
If you build it, he will come.
