First you find a car you like.
Then you save really hard. Every cent you earn with that car in mind every time you even think of spending money on something else, bring the thought back to the shiny beast you have in your head.
Once you have the money in the bank, decide what mods you will do first. Save for these too, before you even thing about buying the car.
Factor in insurance, stamp duty, rego, maybe save for the excess too, just in case.

Done all that? Okay, I think you are ready...
