I'm putting a locally made supercharger good for 500hp, though target is only 400hp onto a JRSC manifold with an intercooler into a K20 powered Lotus Elise.
The supercharger is a Sprintex S5-335 made in Malaga WA by Automotive Technology Group. It's a twin screw compressor with 1.8:1 internal compression and let me tell you it's a sexy beast. These are some of the most efficient superchargers in the world, i don't know all the specs, but they're shit hot i'm told. So nice cool charge temps, less stolen power from the crankshaft and lesser inter cooling requirements. I went out there to pick it up and got a bit of a factory tour whilst they assembled the snout and pulley that i required. It was a hive of activity, they were busy preparing for the SEMA show in the states and had heaps on the bench ready to go to the states.
So i've got the fuel system sorted, intercooler pump and wiring and radiator sorted. At the same time i'm putting in a 4.05 final drive and a TSX 6th gear, so top speed should be 330kph, and the car only weighs 750kg. If anyone wants the JDM diff and the 4.7 FD they'll be up for sale along with a JDM EP3 CTR aircon compressor and the JDM inlet manifold. But you know only if i gots enough points to post in the for sale section. You know what to do.
The Zorst is being zirconia coated by the chaps at zircotec because she gets a little warm and it's all tucked up under the boot and this is a lotus, not a jiffy van, so i don't have a need for a pie warmer.
The main holdup at the moment is getting stuff out of the states, cos everyone is at SEMA and i'm trying to make up an adapter plate with an intercooler sandwiched within. Due to the extremely short residence times and the small volume of the intercooler, i've decided to plumb the air out from under the supercharger and through a proper sized intercooler, then back in.
