    jrsc with crv pulley

hey guys, i have just got my car tuned with the CRV pulley on, which i was lead to believe would produce 11.1 psi of boost, im only getting 7.

i dont really car about the power im not getting, as i dont need any more lol, just wondering why.

also, because im now over revving my alternator and air con up, last night i think i shagged the air con making really really bad noises now :O is there a way i can toughen the bearings up if i get it rebuilt?

because when i got my alternator rebuilt he "said" he put really good bearings in it, can i do the same for air cons, or are they a disposible unit and you cant fix them?

Just curious what psi would you be getting if you used the b18 pulley? And what diameter is your blower pulley? Mine looks to be 3.8 to 4 inch diameter?

i havnt even measured it, i think its just the standard size which im pretty sure is 3.8'' diameter, 162.8kw atw at 6psi on a very safe tune.

before i put the crv pulley on it was 4 psi, if your interested i have the whole Jackson Racing Big Boost Kit, including the lightweight crank pulley, boost timing controler, with hand held adjuster, and fuel pressure regulator.

What is the boost pressure difference on low cam to hi cam. For your set up. I got no boost gauge for mine so go no idea. And @ what rpm does you hi cam engage? Mines @ 4500+/-rpm.

There was a run the read 1kw more, but whatever...

Still value in the B, power & torque is on par with a K24 Euro swap with 70mm throttle, RBC, 50deg Vtc & good header & tune.

Would there be any point in redoing cam gears?

most impressive!. i wonder what my b20+p72-S/C would pull? although my ecu has the secret squirrel sticker on it. i assume it has been tuned on toda au's dyno. as I bought the car already with the conversion. and never got a read out with the purchase, would toda au remember, ever tuning a burgundy/maroon integra vti-R from good performance?

Definately suggest putting this question up on Honda-tech forums and seeing what type of responses you get from some of the US guys.

I've got a JRSC kit sitting at home also for the b18cr, with the LHT intercooler, so I have done a little bit of research into the different pulley's and set ups. I've always been under the impression that anything over 7psi without some sort of cooling is not a good idea anyway, so perhaps count yourself lucky?

As for why your not getting the right boost pressure for your pulleys, perhaps have a look at this word doc and enter in a few of your details. http://www.ftlracing.com/media/CALCS...aton_calcs.xls

But you are right, with a crv crank pulley and 3.8 nose pulley you should be getting 11ish psi. Does the bypass valve on the blower have anything to do with boost pressure your getting?

Tom, if you know what the plates where on the car when he tuned it he can bring up what it has.
