When are civic ek's?

Hey everyone

On car sales if you do a search in New South Wales for Honda Civic and then choose EK from the series all the cars are from 99 - 00 does this mean EK civics are were only produced between 99- 00?

Cause I thought EK civics were produced between 96 - 00 and ive called car sales and their saying thats what Honda has said to them.

The reason I ask this is because I have a 97 Civic for sale and I thought that was a EK Series

That's what I thought but car sales said Honda told them that EK civic are from 99-00

^^as above 99-00 is the facelift version. new bumper, grill, headlights, bonnet, front quarters, rear lights etc...
