Staying cool during summer...

So I got the first taste of summer and gee wizz it gets bloody hot in the cabin on the car even with A/C on.

Is it common issue with s2000s that A/C doesn't really get that cold?

I turn it almost up to max and it doesn't even help one bit. I was thinking perhaps it's the softtop absorbing the heat into the cabin? And leather seats on a hot day doesnt help either.. Sad face.

Sure your aircon us in good nick? Might need a regas

might needa regas bud, mines cold but the cabin still gets pretty warm spesh around the gearbox area haha.

Definatly sounds like it needs a regas, same thing happened to me.
Regas definatly helped get the aircon cold. It was $100.
Also combine the ac with the inner circulation button thingy above the ac button ^.^

If my car has been out in the sun and the cabin is really hot then it can take a while to cool down.
Do you have the aircon on recirculate? that makes a big difference.

I hate leather seats in hot weather.. I always get all sweaty on my back! I feel like getting my seats reupholstered to cloth.

Just buy some jdm seats...they have cloth centre

Think I'm lucky :|
Mine is ice cold and I never have it on more than 4 fan speed else I'll freeze... Black leather too.

As others have said, regas or if that fails, check for leaks / noisy compressor etc..

^ yeh good thinking haha. mines ice cold too, doesn't take long to get cool. Just aim the air at your face etc.

S2000 air con and heating is absolutely amazing...instant heat and ice cold all the time
