apexi vtec vafc I issue please click and read and help lol

hi guys, i recently got a vtec controller apexi vafc I for free off my family friend,
i've installed it accordingly to the instruction i found on the net, works fine, everything seems to be in order, but i had a slight problem,

the rpm on the vafc shows lower than it is on the cluster,
for example, cluster shows 2000rpm and vafc shows 1356, the higher the rpm goes, the bigger the difference is (3000rpm on cluster and 2100rpm on vafc)

anyone know what could be the problem?

Thanks and please dont flame.. I've searched the forums but cannot find any required information in regards to this topic.

    Thanks

Well when my h22a hits the rev limiter, the tacho is almost on 8000 but the ecu/AFC NEO is saying 7550ish max rpm.. the tacho does over read a little ...

yeah but this seems like its lagging if u know what i mean.. Its not constantly moving (as in 500rpm below cluster all the way) .. In my case it gets worse the higher the rpm goes.. Reckon it could be the grounding?
