Re-paint the entire car, what is the cost?

    Hey guys,

I want to know how much it would cost to re-spray the entire car a different car? I got mixed feedback, some saying its around $700-1k, others are saying 2-3k.

Anyone know any good places where you can get it painted for a decent price and good quality around Sydney area.

    Thanks

I'm not a professional painter but I have done/do my own. Any repainting requires (to do the job properly) removal of trim strips and the like which is time consuming and particularly essential when changing the colour. $700-1k is gonna get you a crappy job.

Because you will be going a different colour, you will need to take off all the doors, paint the inside of them, all the door jams, under the bonnet, engine bay etc. It's a pretty big job and I don't see you getting a decent job done for 3grand.

Depends on if you give the painter your car stripped or still in one piece or not. But don't expect change from $3500 at a minimum
