    Aim:

give the rear end a clean look.

    Required:

    - 10mm socket
    - flat head
    - block grommet

The aim of this DIY is to give the rear hatch a mother cleaner look on the cheap with out the need to "shave" it

    STEP 1

Lift the little black plastic that covers the 10 mm nut

    \

    STEP 2

undo the nut and remove the wipper arm along with the black rubber grommet

    STEP 3

remove the plactic on the inside of the hatch, don't pull i to hard as it might damage it and lose some of the clips

    STEP 4

undo the 3 x 10 mm bolts shown in the pic, once that is done lightly give the wiper motor a tug and will come out.

    STEP 5

unplug the motor and tuck the wire back in to the hatch

    STEP 6

    replace the hatch plastic

    STEP 7

put the black plug in. stand back and say good job!

I agry with you that OEM quality is usually the best way to go.

But in this case, It's a rubber grommet. What about the OEM rubber grommet makes it better than a generic one?

Regarding "nothing good to say" This is a forum for discussion. Express views, be it positive or negative. Give tips and tricks, and whatever.
So long as I'm not telling you to **** off, then the discussion is healthy.

Paying fifteen times more for a grommet seems stupid to me. Unless you can prove some superiority the OEM grommet has over the generic one, my view still stands.
