    How to use your sunroof.

Pardon my noob question, but what do you all use the tilt function of the sunroof for instead of retracting the sunroof backwards?

I see many cars with sunroofs have them tilt open when parked under the hot sun. I heard it's for ventilation and getting the heat out. Does it really work? I assume you have to pull back the interior sunroof cover too in this configuration?

How about when you are on the move, can you get much air in when the sunroof is tilted up?

mainly for ventilation really. i also reckon it looks better than having the roof all the way back haha.

It IS aerodynamics actually, having the Sunroof tilted back creates a pressure zone that sucks air out around the top of the cabin, and since the air moves upwards and cool air moves downwards, it sucks mostly hot air.

It works the same way as a Cowl hood scoop (reverse scoop)

For my EH9 I sometimes leave it tilted open when it's hot with just a small gap on the fabric cover to keep as much sun out a possible.

Otherwise I use it when it's muggy/raining because no water gets in when you drive but it still allows some ventilation. Or when you're driving fast but don't want your face buffeted whilst getting fresh air.
