    You can get non-vtec F22's in accords from 1990-97 (gen4 and gen5), they are all labelled EXi

    maybe alloy
    due to being more modern honda technology

    its not cast iron, though it does have the ductile iron sleeves rather than the wierdo ones the H series have

    just to confirm:

    "The cylinder block is made out of aluminium alloy using cast iron sleeves"

    straight from the workshop manual

    So i was a little off on the sleeves
