    benen tow hook help

hey guys, just went to install my benen tow hook.. but cant really figure out how it should be.. ive researched the part number which is be-10100rr, to confirm that it will suit my eg sedan. it looks to be the right part number, but it just wont fit..

can somone confirm if the attached image looks right?

from what i understand, shouldnt both the bolts be running through the factory tow hook? ive tried every possible position but cannot get both the bolts to line up THROUGH the factory tow hook. also the bolts dont seem long enough..

can someone provide a picture of how it should look? or a tutorial? i havent been ablke to find a decent one.

any help will be much appreciated. thanks guys.

thanks alot for that man! really appreciate it. i had it installed the way it is in the pictures you posted (one bolt inside the factory tow loop and the second outside), but it seems to move up and down when i push it. should it be moving at all? i was under the impression that it will sit firm without moving at all?

Ive never used one but I assume if its done up tight it wont move

Make sure the smaller plate stays parallel as you tighten it too

    Yes it looks right.

Hey i installed one on my del sol but the bolts that come with them are too short and shit.. Do your self a favour and buy hi tensile bolts and a bit longer so the nut actually does the whole way up ... And it shouldnt move up and down either

I was going to suggest this aswell.

Just go to a local bunnings or something and purchase a longer one. Save the hassle in buying short ones.

yes you have installed it properly, however it seems like you have the same problem as i did.

they have sent you shorter bolts meaning the nut wont screw on enough to go through all the nut thread.

pop by to autobarn and buy a new set, you wouldnt want it falling off as you're driving.
