[Noob question] Need help with removing my factory radio

Hi guys, I have recently bought a CD tuner for my car, but I have no idea on how to remove the factory radio. I have gone through the instructions in installdr but because there are some differences between the US version and the AU version of my car, I am stuck on the part where you remove the central control panel...
Thank again, and yes i have searched through google, the forum and youtube but have not had any luck with finding a tut... Sorry for asking this noob question!!

If its an ek.. There are two ways.

    1) if u have those long thin alloy stereo removal thongs/rods then all u have to do is slide these to each side of the oem head unit until u hear a clip and u can push it no more.

    Then pull the stereo out.

    2) the hard way is to remove your stereo surround via the back (as most of the screw are behind the unit.
Then remove the other bottom screws etc etc.

Otherwise use the above links as per prev posts.
