exactly.. Most people these days are on like 25gb minimum.. and unless you're downloading too much on a weekly basis, 320kb's~ per person isn't going to kill your bandwidth. I was on 512mb's (mobile broadband usb modem thingo) and that lasted pretty well on forums with heaps of pictures and such. Pictures are the least of your worries. If you are worried about your bandwidth, don't go near youtube or any videos.

and as said, there is an option. If you don't want to see pictures, disable. ezpz

Massive signatures (in all shapes and sizes) makes things messy. Hence why they're disabled. Just have a link in your signature if you really want someone to see something in your signature.

I don't like images, makes the site very messy looking and distracts you from the actual post. Eventually you'll have to press page down to go to the next post.

    maybe have a size limit?

As said a few times, every other forum i'm on has no trouble with it. you can restrict the sizes of the signiatures people run. just do that, have them 300pixels high as a max, and 600pixels wide. Ezpz, stops them being too big and what not.

either way, if they dont like it they can switch off so theres no reason to complain about not liking everyone elses car or abt slow loading cause u have dial-up.

if anything mods that see a "ugly/messy" sig can just remove it or PM the person, and make it so all PMs have to be the same size? that will keep it uni-form.
