Car buyers in Singapore must pay for excise and registration duties of about 150 percent of the vehicle’s market value, as well as bid for a limited number of government permits, called certificates of entitlement, that allow a car on the road for 10 years. The cost of a permit alone would now buy a new Porsche Boxster in the U.S., or a C-Class Mercedes in Hong Kong, where curbside pollution rose to a record last year.

Yeah not easy to keep a sports car in Malaysia or singapore

Either pay a crapload for road tax in sg and pay a fortune for a garage, or pay 300% car tax on a new car in Malaysia.

    Anyways weclome abourd .

How much did the FD2R cost you in sg?

Mate has one in KL and cost hin like $70k AU new

Just came back from sg, saw so many FD2Rs and other cars that'll make most of ozhonda jealous lol..
but like bludger said, the cars over there cost a ridiculous price and before you can drive it you need the CEO paper which costs about a BMW here in Aus.
And yeah, usually you keep the car for 10 years before you have to replace it. If you choose to keep your car longer than that, the CEO thing costs more

i dont know how the drivers over there do it..seriously, every 2 minutes you'll see a lambo or a ferrari..ballers!
