The lid over the stereo lifts straight up and forward.
Push the lip of the lid at one corner straight up with your thumbs. It'll be very stiff but it will move up.

After the corner has moved up over the lip of the facia trim, just move along the front of the lid pushing it up as you go. It gets easier as you move along.
Once the whole front of the lid is off, the whole lid can be pulled up and forward. Plastic clips hold it on along the sides and towards the front so just pull gently.
Lastly, unclip the light sensor cable right at the front of the lid and then the whole thing is free.

Getting the lower vent and A/C control panel off is a little harder and needs to also be done before you can remove the stereo assembly.

Pull the gear stick down to 1st gear and get your fingers in under the lip above the gear stick's park position and pull up quite hard. If you need to, use a strong and wide spatula or butter knife to leverage it up.

Once it's free, unplug the plug in behind the A/C controls and the whole thing will come away.

You'll then be able to access all screws holding the stereo in place.
