What happens if you crash at the track?

    Hi guys,

What happens if you have full comprehensive insurance and have an accident at the track?
Obviously it isn't covered at the track, but can you simply claim it happened elsewhere so that they pay for damages?

The reason I asked was because someone told me if the car cannot be driven away from an accident, the police have to come.
And, if you have no police report, insurance will not pay.

Any truth to this? And simply out of curiosity, ways around this?

I think this topics gonna put you in lots of trouble, obviously you can take your car away and make a claim. If you get caught then you're in deepsh*t

they usually tow your car off the track, just get them to tow it outside onto the street with or without both damaged cars... thats if you or the other vehicle is damaged too

but you could get diked like this guy when someone rolled their shitter into his brand new GTR and he is left with nothing as the insurance company sussed it out heaps

I believe Shannons can offer track day insurance - but its really expensive and not worth it unless you owe alot of money on the car or its an exotic that is worth the investment.

Also, i "believe" that the police example you are talking about is only applicable when there is another party involved and there are injuries or if there is significant property damage...
