93 dc2 vti-r - buzzing sound coming from abs unit?

Hi guys, i've searched this topic already but no one has seemed to find the exact or fixed the problem? I have a 93' dc2 vti-r.

When i turn on my car especially if it is cold i get this buzzing sound coming from the abs unit and it will buzz for like 10 secs, then it will stop, then randomly buzz only for like a 1-2sec then go away?

What could the problem be? if it's even a problem at all?

Also, sometimes my abs light will stay on when i turn the car on? Any known reasons?

    Thanks in advanced guys!

the abs unit in OBD1 DC2's is meant to buzz when you start the car, that's just the accumulator winding up pressure, as it is a "High Pressure ABS System".

models 97-00 didn't have a big high pressure unit so they will not buzz.

if it buzzes for longer then a few seconds (10 might be a bit long) the unit may be low on fluid. and yes, it does have it's own resivour.

look on the back of the unit and see where the fluid is leveled and if it's at MIN or lower you will need to fill it up.

also look underneath the unit for leaks.
