Do cars get weighed at the track?

    Hi guys,

Just wondering before a car is raced does it get weighed?
    Either drag or circuit.

    Thanks

At the sydney dragway there is a weighbridge available for anyone to use in the scrutineering shed.

At racetracks it depends on the event and track as to whether there are scales available.

No not normally. The only reason would be if a competitor complained about an obvious discrepancy.

Yeah I second that, morgan park has a set of scales that you can ask to use. At state and australian title events if a official complaint is made the car gets weighed, apparently if there is not scales at the event the car can get held on to till the next day. I havn't seen that happen yet though

In the Vic state championships when I ran it could not be done at scruitinering as it would take forever to cover all entrants, and I dont even recall them weighing the place getters after races either ! Slack mob ! lol I know they did random checks.
Its always good to weigh your car just for your own information.
