ENGINE IS OUT! What should I install while it is?

    Hey guys,

What are the best things to do to a b18c7 while the engine is out of the car? Doing an engine swap for an em1! Was thinking of cams, but anything else worth installing while the engine is out?

    Any help and recommendations appeciated!

replace timing belt, aux belts, clutch/flywheel, oil main seal
all service items are easier when engine is out

    agree with above,

you'll spend far less hours, hav less scraped knuckles and won't end up swear and cursing as much by doing it with the engine out

degrease your engine bay with a brush and high pressure hose as well. alot easier to clean with the engine out.

Replace fuel filter and also check engine mounts and suspension bushings for degradation/wear, replace as necessary.
