Just a suggestion with the trade rating. The user did have 1 or 2 negative comments, I did try to click these prior to the purchase, it took me straight to the relevant sales thread. I'm able to see the negative feedback left on a user's wall, but additional comments are not visible to all users. Why is this?
I think giving users additional information about other peoples positive or negative experience with a seller/buyer is so valuable, especially when users are taking all the risk.
Hi,
If you see a negative comment that's immediately a cause for concern. Did you try PMing the person that left the negative comment? That's always a good place to start.
I've had a look and after going to the user's profile if you click "View Complete Feedbacks for xxxx" it takes you to the page with the summary of comments (which you can then click on to take you to the thread).

If u want this resolved, just file a police record and then obtain all the accused user membership info, IP address, history etc via the moderators/owner of this forum.
Otherwise the police can request these information directly from the mods if the mods cant provide u the details.
Dont take the law matter into your own hands as you can either do worse or resolve nothing at all.
(only if its a matter of life and death).
only thing cops will do is take down your number plate, so when you do get a correct set of coilovers, they'll remember to defect you.
Also what seems to be missing from the 'how not to get scammed thread' is to
- get/request verification pictures. This could have all been avoided if he simply had a picture of the part number of the coilover. If he doesnt comply, then red flags. The more pics someone has, the less they have to hide.
- use a credit card funded source where possible even with paypal - might be messy/difficult process, but chargebacks can be done.
Of course Im in no way suggesting you are in any way fault for this, just pointed out to help prevent future ripoffs.
