Thread: Dc2r power up.

    Dc2r power up.

    Hi all.

I'm a noob to these forums and I have a 00 Dc2r that is stock apart from a J'S carbon intake and filtre. I'm looking at gaining a few extra Kw's however I'm not to sure where to start. I'm looking at an exhaust and ECU upgrade to add to the intake mods and pretty much leave it at that.
If anyone can share any info on what I should be looking for and approx power gains it would be greatly appreciated. Also, As I'm in NSW any recommendations on a decent workshop for the mods would also be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers people,

    Mark.

    Hey Mark,

I would first of all do the basics I/H/E - Intake which you already have( i would recomend the INJEN intake over the J's racing whales penis), a good set of headers and a good cat back system. If your looking to upgrade your ecu i would recommend going with the HONDATA S300 then dyno tune it to suit your mods.

With all those mods you are looking between 120-125 Kw ATW that is with a good tune.

Good work shops i recommend: BYP, Toda , Top one! Goodluck!

What tweetr said. The type r is good enough as it is I reckon. Just mods to make the car breathe better is a good start then after that you could look into suspension mods aesthetics etc.

Intake - J's will do fine
Headers- PLM header range for best bang for buck. Check out BYP Traders section
Exhaust- 63.5mm or 2.5' will do just fine.
    Tune - Hondata S100/S300

Intake - mugen, injen, Aem, fujita
    Headers - plm
Exhaust - personal choice with what sound and look you want
    Possible ecu and tune

But with basic bolt ons and lightweight flywheel you can't really go wrong. I enjoyed mine like that
