    cleaning rust from boot.

    hey guys,

ive got a fair bit of surface rust under my spare tyre.
im thinking of cleaning it up. ill be removing it with one of those wire brush sort of things that you put on the end of a drill.. (sorry dont know what they're called lol).

im just worried about how to repaint it. im planning on spraying on some rust kill (just to make sure any spots ive missed dont spread), then spraying on some primer, maybe sound deadening, primer again, and then some paint..

is that a good way to go about it? can anyone give me some info please? ive never dealt with rust. any info is appreciated.

    thanks

    1. Wire brush all the surface/loose rust off
    2. Get some rust converter, apply
    3. wipe over area with wax and grease remover
    4. prime
    5. paint with spray on body deadener, just to help with road noise.
