Odyssey with factory 17's and wheel spacers?

Anyone fitted spacers to their Honda RB3 wheels?

For relatively little (less than $30.00/pr), I can get some 8mm (rear) and 5mm (front) cnc'd alloy spacers for the factory 17" Ody wheels.
Just looking to get the factory wheels to fill out the guards a bit more until I replace my tires and then get my lease to fork out for all new wheels with less offset.
I'm figuring that if I stick with spacers no thicker, I can get away with the standard bolts but would welcome comments and advice about this.

Anyone else use spacers as well?
    Just interested in your feedback.
(and yes, I know it's not entirely legal here in Qld)

I never use spacer but if i have to i prefer use spacer with adaptors because it's safer.

He means bolt on hub centric spacers as opposed to slip on ones. Slip on spacers make the available thread on the studs less. bolt on ones will still have the correct length studs, but the back of your rims may need to have space to accomodate the original studs.

Also if the slip on spacers are not put on correctly, it will cause vibrations on the steering wheel
