    Suspension removal problem EK4

    Hey guys,

So I was helping a friend remove his shocks to replace with some Cusco coilovers (set to the lowest i might add) but we had problems removing the shock itself. So he decided to try and remove the LCA where the fork of the shock usually sits and somehow removing one bolt resulted in causing the LCA to rise up and lodge itself.

Any ideas on how we could lower this bit down to put the bolt in again ?

    Thanks in advance

I'd say pry bar or big flat blade and lever it down until you can get the bolt to thread through.

The bolt should be pointed on the thread end so once you get it semi in there, u can either hit it in or just thread it through.

Once its kind of lined up just give it tap with a hammer and it will go through.

    +1

The way you guys approached it was all wrong, u dont need to remove any LCA at all, shoulda removed LCA fork bolt and pinch bolt than slide out the fork, so its easier to remove the strut

Use a Crow bar, the angled head helps leverage at the joint as you pry
