How do you install floor mat assemblies in my Accord Euro

The dealer sent floor mats to my home (I'm 200k from the nearest Honda dealer) and included in the parcel are four plastic assemblies that appear to need attaching to the carpet. There seems to be areas marked out in the carpet where these assemblies go, but I can't work out how to install them.

I may need to cut the carpet ???

The assemblies need to be installed because the front driver and passenger mats slide around without them - particularly dangerous on the drivers side because the mat gets caught in the accelerator pedal.

Can anybody help?

I called a dealer about the same thing yesterday, yes you do cut the carpet. If you called them I'm sure they'd give you more info.
