    Well Here Is The Latest

It Took Me A Day And A Half To Remove The Old Gearbox. I Took It Slow And Steady And When It Hit The Ground I Was Happy It was Out.
The Most Surprising Thing Was How Easy And Quickly The New Gearbox When In. I Had The Use Of An A Frame And A Block And Tackle And An Old Scissor Jack. Twenty Minutes Later The New Gearbox Was In And Bolted Up And The Torque Converter (Remembering To Rotate The Engine Anticlockwise) Then Reconnect The Gear Changer Cable (That Little Split Pin Was A Bugger To Get In) Then The Cable Holder, The Torque Converter Cover, The Header Pipe Bracket And The Bracket To The Header. I Then Reattached The Radius Rod.

That Left The Installation Of The Driveshafts (But The Day Was Waning)

    Day Three

    Jobs Left To Do
    1. Attach The Driveshafts
    2. Reattach The Dampers
    3. Attach The Lower Ball Joints
    4. Put The Wheels Back On

This All Went Well (With The Help Of My Brother)

Then It Was Off The Stands And Back On It’s Wheels
    Then Refill The Radiator
And The Add The Transmission Oil (Castrol Dexron III)
Then Check For Leaks (None Found)
Then Start The Car Set The Parking Break And Shift The Transmission Through All The Gears Three Times.

    Then The Big Road Test
I Drove Out Of My Brother’s Place And Up The Road.
The Gearbox Moved From First To Second Then Third, The Road Ended In A Turn Around And Then It Was Back Up The Road Again First Second Third End Of Road Again, U-Turn The Gave It Some Stick First Second Third And Finally Forth. It Worked Great Back To My Brother’s Place And Checked The Transmission Oil Level (Needed To Add About A Third Of A Litre)
Then It Was Tidy Up All The Tools And Equipment And Head For The First Real Road Test.

Drove From My Brother’s Place To My Town (30km Away).
All Worked Great (100Km At 3,000 RPM)
Stopped For Coffee I Needed Caffeine
Then Off To The Next Town Over (37Km There)
    Stopped To Fill The Tank
And The Honda Was Running Beautifully
All The Way There And Back To Home (Round Trip About 74Km)
    Never Missed A Beat

Only Think Is I Think I Need To Increase The Idle Speed 400rpm Is A Little Slow.

Now All Need To Do Is Smarten The Honda Up And Add A Radio So I Can Have Some Tunes.

    Sorry I Didn't Take Photos

I feel there is a key difference between what the manual says, and what you say you did.

    What I Have Been Doing

Well What Has Been Happening Since The Last Post.
First I Have Adjusted The Head Lights.
They Now Point To A Sun What Better Place On The Road. (Before The Were Like Eight Feet In Front Of The Car)
I Did A Leyland Brother Trip Last Sunday (Second September) 480Km Picked Up New Sets From Another Forum Member Then To My Brother’s Place (And As This Was Fathers Day Baby Sat My Niece And Nephew) Then Fitted The Seats.
    They Are A Great Improvement.
Next I Need To Replace The Final Muffler (My Brother Has A Spare Subaru One)
That Is The Job For Tomorrow.
    More Later.
