    Honda Civic Questions!!

    Hello,

I have a few questions, (some are some pretty stupid).

I have a 1990 Honda Civic GL Sedan 5sp Manual (my model was built in 12/90) So this makes it a series 2 right? (so there is a series 1 and 2)?

When are the front fans (radiator) meant to turn on?
Do they turn on when the car is getting hot, or when starting the car?

    Cheers,

well you have 2 fans because one is for the aircon when the a/c is switched on.. And secondly the fan turns on when the car reach operating temperature then turns on to stop the car over heating.

Fans dont turn on when you first start the car unless you have a faulty fan switch or sensor, or it could be wiring..

    no problem,

the fan turns on automatically. when it reaches operating temp.

Although if your always drivng in motorways and not traffic you rarely hear it come on, unless if you are stuck in traffic your more likely hear it often turn on.

There is a wiring Diy on how to make them stay on from start which would be good if you are running hot but will take some power. just google search if your keen but in my opinion they have a reason for not being on all the time and its most likely noise/power and maybe battery.

    Headlight problem (Hi beam)

    Hello,

I've got a problem with one of my headlights when it goes on hi beam.

both headlights work on low beam, but when I go on hi beam only one headlight works and the other just turns off.

*I've tried switching the globes, but I've had no luck.

Anyways ideas how to fix this problem???

Factory steering wheel replacement! for a ED????

    Hello,

I've got a 1990 Honda Civic GL Sedan Manual (S2).

The factory steering wheel is very bad, it feels like its falling apart (it has a cover on it).

With this model what can I change the steering wheel for? Could I could i use a 94 model steering wheel without any mods (or any other civic models) What's a straight fit for this model?

I've only want a stock steering wheel not a aftermarket one.

    Cheers..

    Cheers..

Check the wiring loom and see if the wires are intact. Look at the wire connector (the clip) that attaches to the bulb itself and make sure it's clean.

    EDIT:
Show us a picture of your OEM steering wheel. There are several steering wheels you can use, OEM or aftermarket, because the ED wheel doesn't have an air bag or anything to be considerate of.
