    silly questions.. - transmission fluid

    hey guys,

if any1 has worked on dc5R or owns one they may be able to help..

wondering where abouts i add transmission fluid to a DC5R? I have a minor transmission oil leak at the moment and is covered under wty but won't get repaired until next week (workshop is supposedly busy). Its not so smooth in changing gears now, its getting a bit stiffer and clicking in each time.. i don't want to damage the gear box.. so i think i need to add some fluid before i drive it again..

also, should i get transmission oil from a normal auto shop? or go to honda dealer and buy genuine honda tranny oil?

    any help appreciated

RH (passenger) side / rear of diff housing / approx halfway up.
    Look's like a large bolt.
Use HONDA MTF or MOTUL Gear300 / FFDrag LSD (NB: without a pump, it's not easy)
Must be GL4. For track work GL4~GL5 is better

    Thanks Adrian,

You say without a pump its not easy.. shall i take it to a workshop then? cas im not too cluey on DIY car maintenance.. never topped up tranny fluid before...

You think it would be ok to top it up? dont have to flush it or anything?

thanks again for your help.. much appreciated,

its not easy without a pump cos the filler hole is verticle, not flat like the oil filler hole

Just use a long plastic hose and a funnel. Not too hard on EG/EK/DC2s!
