"TOK" sound

'94 EG Breeze HB manual 1.5 Single Carby.

I noticed earlier this evening on my way home, that when depressing the accelerator (while on 5th gear) mid way then releasing it suddenly, I would hear a "Tok" sound coming from the front side, probably on the engine bay somewhere in the middle of both passenger and driver side. the sound isn't that loud but you would definitely hear it.

Secondly, when I shift up prematurely, without matching the right RPM, say from first gear to second, the car would always shudder as if the engine is being thrown or moved forward, basically there is a noticeable jerk in the car that is again coming from the Engine side.

It is a little bit hard to explain the whole situation but I do hope some of you get this or those who have already experienced this.

Have a look at your engine mounts and see if the rubber inserts are split.
