    Yellow "paint" on disc rotors

    Hey guys,

Just noticed some spotted yellow paint on my front brake rotors.

My first assumption was that this is the brake pads telling me they're down to a certain amount of tread & will need replacing soon.

Am I correct? Or is this something else?

    Cheers.

Can't tell from pic but looks like surface rust. If so perfectly normal if your discs have been in contact with moisture. After a quick drive will disappear

Is it the first time you see Rust. Seems the car has been sitting for a while. Drive it for a while and will be bling bling

Not trolling, didn't know what it was. Legit.

And notice I put the word "paint" in quotations as I didn't know how else to describe it.

Yes I have seen rust, but not on any rotors, nor have I seen it 'splattered' like that.

They say the only stupid question is the question that has not been asked. So I asked. Now I know. Cheers to all who helped.
