I think the short answer is no. ADRs mandate that you cannot put an engine older than the chassis. I'm fairly sure you cannot get away with it even with a mod plate. But I've never personally tried it. As for the driveshafts, you would need B series driveshafts. B series use a mid shaft and two equal length driveshafts, whereas D series have two unequal length shafts.

With registering the engine should ask you traffic authority as some states differ

With the driveshafts the b series drive shafts are basically same only
one minor thing is the abs ring attached to the driveshaft itself depending if eg2 has abs or not
Dc2r and em1 only good if you work at McDonald's, s2k good for order food in McDonald's
    deal with it m8

the eg2 is a jap import and has never been registered in oz, do have to show rego papers or does blueslip just get the engine number, the b16a could be out of anything even a vtir ek4.

also can i use the delsol drive shafts and shift linkage?

people always go on about how you cant register a engine if its older then the chassis, simple answer is YES you ****ing can.

I did it on my EG i had a 89 model ED d15b4 into my EG GL 91. I just went to the mechanic and he just did a blueslip for me, simple.

coz your car is a 1.5 and the motor is a 1.5... theres no engineering needed there coz same engine capacity...

    ek civic d16y4 = 1.6L, delsol b16a2 = 1.6L ?

like he said, im saying that is wrong, but im not picking on him. ive seen everyone on ozhonda saying that you cannot register a engine from a older chassis

can i use the del sol drive shafts?

what can i use from the del sol in this swap?

the motor is currently still in the eg2 but possibly a k20 will be going into it so what ever isnt replaced by the k20 parts i will have to use
