    Getting an Odyssey tomorrow..

With bub #1 on the way it's out with the Mazda6 and in with the classiest people mover around. Tomorrow we're picking up a super-clean '05 Odyssey with 83k on the clock. I've had a quick squizz about but can't find anything about service schedule. Am I up for a major service at 90k? 100k? Probably should just wait and have a look in the handbook I guess

And can't believe there's no dedicated Ody forum....???

    Cheers,
    Phil

Time to change the spark plugs at 100k. The Odyssey uses Iridium spark plugs

K24 uses timing chain so there is no timing belt to change.

Well the best time to change the oil transmission is in 30k unless you have a new automobile that is loaded with Dexron III ATF which is expected to be excellent for 100,000 miles.

So three weeks behind the Ody wheel and we're lovin' it. Smooth ride, heaps of space...road noise is a fraction more than I was expecting, esp in about the 40km/h-60km/h range. But no biggie, maybe needs better rubber. Gonna do an oil change this weekend. The handbook says 'a special wrench is required to remove the filter.' How special? A strap wrench won't get it off?
