    CAI on EG D15 Single Carb

    Im thinking of getting a CAI or SRI where I could find this Carb thingy that would replace the whole carb air filter assembly?





    has anybody have had any experience with this kind of set up?

    That's just flexible piping.

    Don't modify your D series, unless you turbo it.

    You won't make any noticeable gains. Just a waste of money if you don't go all out.

    If you're planing on converting carb to EFI it's easier to do an engine conversion, but you'll also need to change the ecu and run a different wiring harness. You'll also need to convert the fuel system to EFI.

    If you're asking about deleting the carb system in those photos, they're probably running after market EFI systems.

    I think he is talking about the hat itself that sits over the mouth of the carby?

    But agreed, dont bother, its a waste of time and money, ive been there, done that, wish i just did a swap in teh first place.

    I'm not planning on converting to anything just want to get rid of this Carby Air Cleaner thing and I know there would be no drastic improvement when it comes to speed but having this setup it still better than the stock air cleaner, right? I was after those hat or carb adaptor but it seems hard to find one in Oz or in US and the only country that I can sourced it from is Philippines.

    Better air flow? if u had any better air flow then it would result in better performance. which we know cant really be attained from this engine with a mere CAI...
