    EKB18 build.

    SO!!!! back in 2007 i was on here asking questions about doing a conversion B18C into my Ek1 hatch.
    So i ended up buying a B18C7 half cut. done some reaserch and got all the bits i need and over a weekend i had a fun car to drive.
    before the conversion i already had done suspention
    Tein SS with EDFC
    Whiteline strut tower brace, front and rear lower bracing.

    this was 2 weeks after i had done the conversion.. the drag strip is at benaraby raceway up in central queensland.
    Still running full trim and im pretty sure even the spare ws in the first run. low 14 pass.

    few years later, early 2010 i moved down to brissy. and was introduced to lakeside. That was when i seen 12pin OH My God that car is a freak. so i had to get on track and
    race.. first time i went out my bestlap was 65.6 that was rear seat out 17" nankang tires and stock brakes..

    early this year was the last time i went out on track.
    im now running Federal RSR's 17x7, EK4 brake rotors and bendix ultimate ive now got my PB down to 62.7

    i dont have the last session but thats where it all went wrong. as i was coming down into hungry i for some reason went from 4th down to 3rd rather early, before i een started braking.. not good
    down shifting at 8300rpm into third a massive clunk, it went into third but i couldnt get the clutch peddle off the floor.

    so!!!!! the gearbox is out. new 4:9 fd all new Mfactory synchros. im now starting to look at close gear ratio set and upgrading the LSD.
    ive also dsided to rebuild the motor.

    my goal is to run a low 60. around lakeside on street tires
    Ive desideto go witha Skunk2 build. ive just pruchaced
    Skunk2pro intake manifold, Skunk2 Pro 70mm TB, new Skunk2 pro fuel rail and vales.
    just waiting till next pay check so i can get S2 TI retainers, Dual valve springs and S2 pro spec 2 cams with adjustable cam gears
