    Reverse gear practically gone ?

ohhhk.. b20vtec jdm 96 spec gearbox, in an eg sedan

the gearbox is nice and tight, and has always been semi difficult to get into reverse, and crunches 4th at high rpm..

so i was razzing it on the highway, snapped 4th, crunch a fair bit, so decided to let the revs drop and just slot it in.

as i pulled up, went to reverse parallel park...mmmmmnahhh... wouldnt go in.. tried 1st>R ... nothing...

i can get it in but its physically EXTREMELY difficult... practically have to use my entire body weight and then it sometimes goes in... but thats only the fun part... getting it out of reverse is even harder!

anyone got any idea's i spoke to a good friend, and he said it could be the bolts that hold reverse gear inline ( or something along the lines ).. anybody else had this issue?

Sounds like you need to put something back into alignment for the 5th/reverse shaft and/or fork. Time to drop the transmission

I reckon something was bent. Something shift fork related.

Hold the clutch down. While softly trying to engage reverse press the accelerator a little to about 2000rpm.
Works in my crv when its being stuben.

Yeah nah feels like a ****ing brick wall is there. It crunched in third and couldn't go into reverse.
