Front brake upgrade option for B18 swapped EG VTI

    Hey guys
I have searched a lot of posts already and still can't really decide what front brake option im going to

I am struggling between aftermarket brake kit or Integra front brake conversion
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Wilwood-F...item4d0453a3ca

I am not quite sure how much the front knuckle from the Integra gotta cost but are the end up cost similar to the bolt on kit in the link above?

Is it possible to buy adapter kit in australia to fit the integra caliper on without replacing the whole knuckle?

Good choose for Wilwood brake if you building a track car, don't have to worry any RTA approve.

If it's a road car stick to OEM brakes. Type R calipers with upgraded pads and rotors will give you all the stopping power you'll ever need for a B series Civic.

The easiest way is just to buy the entire assembly and bolt them straight up.
Plenty to choose from on ebay, just none in Australia.

You can always keep an eye out in the Marketplace here on the forums as 5 stud conversions and just normal VTI-R setup's will pop up fairly often here.

I have an EG with B18C7 .. engine is moderately modified with the usual intake , headers , exhaust and S300 tuned by Adrian from toda.

I'm running VTI-R front brakes. calipers and slotted rotors with decent pads ..

way more than enough for the road even going at 100 + speed on the motorways .

    just my 2c

Depends on how much the setup is. I've seen them for $200-300. Could have it installed for less than $500 (disc, caliper, pads, booster, master cyl etc)

Thanks....asked the wrecker today and it costs like 500 for knuckles, calipers and lines...not even booster and mc...
gotta wait for a bargain here or else go for the after market one...

    What's your budget?

I'd get a setup here on OH from a wrecked DC4/DC2 if I were you. Whole kit.

I have been running a VTi-R front set up with DA9 booster & mc for the last year and a half now with slotted & dimpled rotors & project mu pads. Holds up really really well on both the street & track. Good bang for buck option otherwise if you're looking into a multi piston caliper, have a look into the ATS Brakes mini 6-pot caliper kit with a 282mm rotor (http://www.ats-brake.com/main.html). Will bolt directly up to the EG/DC

    Thanks for the suggestion
But where can I source them and how much are they?
They seem nice and come with a good size too

    Sorry for pushing the thread
Recently I found some old post on the forum saying that some EK GLi got same brake as VTiR as well (262mm rotor, not quite sure about the caliper)
is the knuckle of the EK going to fit on the EG?

It's too hard to find a set of integra front assembly in my state and recently found a wrecking EK GLi with 4 disc brake
but not quite sure if it is the same as the vtir
