    Exhaust piping size on aftermarket

    Hey guys!
So looking into catbacks and im quoted about 550 for a system which is 2.5" then splits to 2" each side with muflers and tips..
My question is mainly because I find it weird going to 2".. I was just wondering what size does the other systems consist of? I was thinking 2.5" the whole way.

    cheers guys

im guessing its for a euro?

coz it goes from single to duel exhaust only half the gasses will be going thru the passenger side exhaust and half to the drivers side.
so u dnt need 2.5" on either side. 2" is plenty
    snapping 2nd..
