I won't be doing the chrome trims. I like the chrome tbh, it gives it some balance. That is because i reckon chrome is vital in a black car. If it was on any other colored car,i would most probably considerdoing it.

anyways. if u'r too cheap like me to get a buffing pad.
find a plush toy dissect it cut some sock u never ever going to use again. make sures its soft sanding pad, spray on glue cotton from the toy spray glue then place these on, give it a nice thick layer wrap it up with the sock and masking tape it. you can use any tape of course. make sure its soft
