Good luck trying to squeeze a K24 in without customising your hood to the extreme.

Budget $18 - $20k depending on how much work your going to do yourself.
I spent $20k, I did most of it myself, but also had the car fully resprayed etc. I enjoyed the journey and the experience, but would I do it again...? Probably not to an ED chassis.. Bloody fun to drive though

Bonnet isn't too bad on the EF for clearance due to the raised centre section.

ED is much worse, need to remove the webbing, replace with a facelift EF style bonnet to suit ED, or get a custom hood.

I was referring to fitting a K24 in, taller deck, even with an EF hood you would need to do more than cut the webbing. You wouldn't even bother with an ED bonnet, you would just run a Vis Racing JDM style hood ie raised mid section like the EF's and hack @ the webbing or do an EF front end conversion..... oh look the budgets blowing out ... $22K LOL

Yeah VIS that's the one I was thinking of.

How much taller is the K24 block compared to the K20 block?

k24 stands no chance in fitting under an SiR bonnet, you will need to raise the middle section. Also if you are planning to run RBC or RRC u will also need to cut the bonnet. There are only a select few itb's out there that will fit under a k-swap EF

If you have an original EF9 then leave it as-is as it'll be worth more later.
