top hats and bump stops - where do I start?

So I've got some koni strt's and am soon to purchase some ground control coilover sleeves and am left alone in the woods metaphorically on the subject or top hats and bump stops.

What do you guys recommend for my DD eg civic that might hit the track twice a year...

How low you plan on going? The SRT.T's cant go that low...i learnt the hard way, i think my rears are blown they make a squeaking noise everytime i go across a bump and my rears were on about i think 9 coils? I'm currently on the same setup as you, SRT.Ts with GC Coilover sleeves.

Will check if its blown next week or so since i barely drive it.

You might have issues, pretty sure the STRT are a stock length shock so you'll be severely limiting your bump travel and run the risk of constant bottoming out damaging the shocks. Why not get the yellows? And maybe some extended top hats at the front.

firstly yellows are $200 more - and I'm on centrelink. secondly I wouldnt have bought strts if they werent for lowering - yes they arent for slamming but they are advertised as being designed for 1.5" - 2.5" drop on lowering springs(correct me if I'm wrong). and lastly this car is only dd to and from the city and back really and the roads aren't too terrible from st lucia. So in saving $200 that means I can actually buy good springs... I did my homework man.

also - yellows are the same shock only adjustable...

    unless I'm totally wrong...

imo id personally get tokico illuminas, work just as good as koni yellows and the gc coilovers are cheaper as they are the ones which work with stock/koni srt.ts. I dunno like if your going for less then 2" drop it should be fine. Goodluck and tell me how it goes

yea well I'm not slamming my ride. Just lowering it enough to get the handling benefits and an aggressive stance that I can fine tune.
