SRS light on 97 del sol

i have a 97 del sol and the SRS indicator lights up and stays on eveytime i use my car. is this a common problem? And does anyone know how to fix this issue?

does the steering wheel have an airbag? maybe the previous owner put a sports steering wheel on and the compters reading the airbag isnt plugged in
