You might have to machine the break dics. I had mine done at 65 000kms.

also note this!!..always inspect your rear brake pad if you havent replaced it, because most than likely rear brake pad worn out faster than the front one. I just replacd rear pad when the car onl had 80k on it . i heard new civic all like this

its a common issue that happens pretty much on all new civics

u can either change ur pads or get some aftermarket rotors

i did the latter, and i got better braking power and no screeches . As my stock rotors may have been warped and stock pads still had plenty of meat left so didn't want to change those yet

changed my rear brake pads after hearing the car starting to squeak and doing 56,000km.. didnt need to machine the brake discs.. and front brake pads has around 60% left on it.. weird

usually to change brake pads every 50,000km (depending on driving style).. mine would squeak when i reverse the car and then hear it sometimes when i drive.. checked the rear brade pads as squeaking was coming from the rear and not the front.. rear brake pads were gone and lucky that i didnt need to machine the rear brake disc or get new ones.. if you hear it squeak, change the pads pronto or risk damage to brake discs
