    Will Manual Harness work on a Auto box? D16Y

    UM in what world could that work? how will the ecu communicate to the box?

    you need a extra bit located usually under the centre console under the dash and auto ECU.
    IT consists of the reverse selector , shift lock etc -

    the engine harness is the same but like bennjamin said the dash loom to the shifter is different

    engine harness is different

    you cant use a MT harness on a AT

    no Selector switch, not Torque Converter Lockup solenoids

    thats awkward i used the manual harness with that came with the engine for my auto :S

    the engine will run fine with a MT Engine harness

    the AT will not lock the Torque converter, not sure if that will damag the trans but it will drive different. The AT will shift fine as its mechanical. The cluster will not indicate the shifter position, Revers light switch will not be plug and play.
