    B20 with B16B head??

I have been searching for this combination but i cant find anything that i am looking for

I am thinking of getting a B20block, going oversize, forging it out etc but i just want to know if the b16b head will fit, if i was wanting to run around 12-12.5:1 compression ratio pistons, what waterpump and oil pump should i run? Also would the standard B20 crank be fine for hanging around the 9k mark?

    Thanks

Yes this combo has been done before.

No the standard crank will not withstand 9,000rpm reliably.

If you need any forged internals or camshafts, drop us a pm to discuss further

And what's the point of running 12-12.5:1 compression?

    Because race car?

Most people asking this kind of question have never been in a car with a standard b20 block with a standard b16a head and would probably be surprised at how it feels.

No point using a stupidly overpriced b16b head when you can get cams for a b16a head. No need to go 12+ on CR either.

oversize is a no no unless ur sleeveing the block

for that much compression and revs your thinking, you better have a good tuner

which are pretty rare to find these days

all these questions have been answered twice over in the b20 discussion thread
