It's probably better to not give any advice at all haha.

I would say to check the distributor as its a vacuum advance dizzy with 2 vac lines going to it. More vacuum more advance. If your car can't produce vacuum at the adequate level (say a split vac line) then the advance will be pulled higher in the RPM range.

Basically follow what mr trism said.
