    Can rego be refunded?

    Hi guys,

    Does anyone know whether remaining registration can be canceled and refunded?

    Does anyone know if this is the case in all states, and how is it calculated (ie, if you have 12 month rego, and cancel it halfway, do you get 50% back)?

    Nah, you get like, 70% of the balance i think.

    Say you pay 500 for 12 months.

    After 6 mnths you cancel, you dont get 250 back, you get 70% of 250 i.e 175

    Dont quote me on those figures, but its something along those lines from my past esperience.

    you get all of it back but they take out an admin fee from it, usually around the $50 mark.

    The on,y time hey let you cancel ergo is if its a write-off or deregister the car
