Even the engine block/head has been pierced as there is oil and coolant everywhere
I'm surprised the engine block didn't drop at that speed
Insurance are assessing the car tomorrow

Dont think its pierced, the short motor is pretty thick, unless a conrod let loose and smashed it out from the inside, becuase nothing else in there could really go throw it and you would have to be going very fast.

    could be PS fluid.
or damage to sump. depending how high the oil is visible in the bay.

    Cheers guys appreciate the thoughts

    Assessor called today
They have valued our car at $5000
At that point was expecting a pay out
Nah - they want to try and get it repaired/quotes
So i'll keep you guys updated
The insurance company is RAC - and they're really good

If it was GIO - theyd only offer $3500...
So i'm happy with the outcome

    lol yeah me to
    I wasn't expecting $5000
As redbook value em between $2000-$4000
The car is over 18 years old and they still want to try and fix it
The assessor said the suspension hasn't been damaged
But the body shop have to strip it and see the extent of the damage
Im 99% it won't be repaired
JJ recons i should be a prelude LOL
